Clara Smith Robinson, a resident of Raceland, peacefully departed this life at the age of 96.
Visiting will be held from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Third Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Burial in the church cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Steven Robinson; daughters, Leanna Griffin, Ledora Collins, Bertha Cooper (Ronald), Gwendolyn Poindexter (Curtis) and Barbara Gadison (Willie); sisters, Genevia Smith, Ella Gray and Verna Reado; brothers, Earl and Joseph smith; 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby Robinson Jr.; parents, Bertha and Louis Smith; son, Junior Robinson; daughters, Phyllis Robinson and Marylin Scott; two great grandchildren; brothers, Alvin, James and Henry Smith; and sister, Rebecca Robinson.

in Raceland for Shelby Robinson Jr., 80, a native and resident of Raceland,
who died at 3:30 a.m. March 13, 2000.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until funeral time at the church.
A dismissal service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was the husband of Clara Smith Robinson of Raceland; father of Junior
Robinson of Labadieville, Steven Robinson, Leanna Griffin, Ledora Collins,
Marilyn Price and Phyllis Davis, all of Raceland, Bertha Adams, Janice
Robinson and Gwendolyn Villan, all of Thibodaux, and Barbara Young of
Houston; and brother of Granville Sr., Harry Sr., Arthur Sr. and Mitchell
Robinson, and Ella B. Thomas, all of Thibodaux, Herbert Robinson, Olivia
Cleveland and Ester M. Weaver, all of Raceland, Naaman Robinson of Houma,
Alvin Robinson and Verlina Ambrose, both of New Orleans. He is also survived
by 29 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shelby Sr. and Annie Williams
Robinson; brothers, Willie and Ivory Robinson, and Ernest Williams Sr.; and
sister, Lucille Robinson Joseph.
He was Baptist and a member of Third Zion Baptist Church.
He liked hunting and fishing.
