Julia Viola "Bill" Bennett, age 80, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, November 07, 2012 at her home. Bill was born May 21, 1932 in Gordon County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Howard McKinley and Vera Belle Harris Stone. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Thomas Bennett, a sons-in-law, Lavoy Allen and Darrell Moore and brothers, Dennis Stone and Clinton Stone.
She was retired from Shaw Industries Plant #4 and was a member of the Varnell Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Allen of Rossville, GA; son, Larry Bennett of Cohutta, GA; grandchildren, Brandy and Zach Byers, Milika Belle Bennett, Erik and Heather Moore, Cyrus and Alison Bennett, Candice Moore and Zachariah Bennett; great-grandchildren, Cody Lee Green and Emma Kate Bennett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jewell and Wallace Blassingame of Dalton, GA, Peggy and Larry Wilson of Ringgold, GA, Joann and Steve Turner of Phoenix, AZ; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Bridget Stone of Cohutta, GA; special niece, Renee Moneta of Cohutta, GA; several other nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Julia Viola "Bill" Bennett will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Varnell Church of God with Reverend Dallas Parker officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Green, David Moneta, Erik Moore, Zach Bennett, Cyrus Bennett, Zach Byers, Glenn Stone, Andrew Stone and Ralph Cline.
The family will receive friends Friday after 12:00 noon at the Varnell Church of God.
