She was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. Carol retired from Baptist Village as cafeteria supervisor after over 30 years.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Little Boy and Carrie Thrift; her husband, James Cyler “J.C.” Cox; her son, Jerry Lamar Cox; granddaughter, Amber Lynn Craig; and brother, Charles Thrift.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ann Martinkoski; one son, James Larry Cox, Sr.; grandchildren, Crystal Renee Cox, Holly Michelle Martinkoski, James Larry Cox, Jr. (Jessica), Jake Allen Cox and Joshua Wayne Cox; three great grandchildren, Cole, Ella Beth and Olivia Kate Cox; one sister, Elaine Hall; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday (December 27, 2019) at Thomas Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Music Funeral Home.
