Carol Riley Riggs
Feb. 25, 1940 - April 10, 2019

Carol Riggs was born to Albert and Anne Riley, in Ithaca, N.Y., where she and her sisters Patricia Robertson and Rita Nicholas were raised. Her 40 year career began in Ithaca; upon moving to Oregon, she joined Reser's Fine Foods in 1970 and worked with the company for 19 years. She then started her own company, retiring after 15 years. Carol was an Oregonian for close to 50 years, most recently residing in Lake Oswego, and passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Carol's infectious laugh and unwavering love for her family and friends will be greatly missed. Her favorite pastimes included: any of her loved ones' activities, rooting for the L.O. Laker football team and the OSU Beavers, as well as her service to her church.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Ralph; and their adorable dog, Gigi. She is also survived by her children, Greg Tamblyn (Erin), Suzie Halberg (Karl), Terrie Sheik (Chris) and Rowdie Tamblyn, Jr.; her grandchildren, Ryan (Molly), Sammy (Mark), Mattie, Nick (Sadie), Brad, Kirsten, Ariel, Aurora and Preston; her sweet great-grandchildren, Brock, Ty and DJ.; and her sister, Pat. As Carol's family expanded over the years, numerous bonus children and grandchildren called her their own.

Carol's service will take place at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Lake Oswego, followed by a reception and private burial service.
