Jimmy Allen Turner passed away Monday, December 9th, 2019.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle. Memorial Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Donations may be made in Jimmy's name to the Ash Creek Building Fund, Castle Hills Mission House or charity of your choice.

Jimmy was a graduate of Rising Star High School in 1951. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and had a master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Jimmy married the love of his life, Sammie Harris May 30, 1953. He was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church in Azle, Texas. Jimmy retired after 50 years of pastoring and served churches in Mary Neal, Anson, Carbon, Loraine, Tahoka , Ash Creek Baptist Church and Castle Hills Baptist Church in Azle, and Haskell.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Velma Turner; sisters, Leola Kelly and Chrystel Gross; brother, Donald Turner; and grandson, Jayson Cloe.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sammie Lee Turner of Azle; sons, David Turner and wife, Kathi of Andrews, Stacy Turner and wife, Kim of Del Rio; daughter, Patti Cloe and husband, Roger of Belton; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
