Helen Elizabeth Austin
December 24, 2019:

Helen Elizabeth Austin, age 98, of Williamsburg, Missouri, passed away at Fulton Presbyterian Manor on December 24, 2019.

Helen was born in Essex, Missouri on February 25, 1921, the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Goldie (Dove) Spradlin. On June 4, 1941 Helen was united in marriage to Leland E. Austin. Leland preceded her in death on February 15, 2012.

Helen was a woman of great faith and a member of Unity Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and served as church secretary. Her hobbies included cooking, reading, gardening, quilting and playing scrabble. Helen was always active in her community and in the lives of her family.

Helen will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three sons, Jerry Leland Austin (Beverly) of Fulton, Missouri, Everette Arlin Austin ( Dianna), of Fulton, Missouri and Dwight Austin ( Patsy), of Williamsbur, Missourig; seven grandchildren, Todd Austin (Melissa) of Fulton, Missouri, Kevin Austin (Katherine) of Williamsburg, Missouri, Amy Umbright (Kevin) of Branson, Missouri, Matthew Austin (Anastasia) of Leawood, Missouri, Keith Austin (Jennell) of Fulton ,Missouri, Laura Morts (Ryan) of Fulton, Missouri and John Carey Austin of Fulton, Missouri; fourteen great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacob Austin, Kaylee and Carson Umbright, Naiya and Finn Austin, Kyle and Rhian Austin, Natalie and Gwen Austin.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by grandson, Brady E. Austin; siblings, William Spradlin, Ruth Owens, James "Tommy" Spradlin and Francis Spradlin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am onSaturday, December 28, 2019 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastors Robert Korff and Delbert Hampton officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, December 27, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment will bi in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested to Unity Baptist Church or the charity of the donors choice.
