Laura E. (Clark) Sims, 97, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019. She was born April 25, 1922 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of Carl and Lydia (Boggess) Clark. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church during the time her late husband, Rev. C.B. Sims was the pastor. She later joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Her memory will be cherished by her son, Gerald "Jerry" Sims Sr.; grandchildren, Sherri E. (Gary) Sargent, Gerald E. (Monica) Sims Jr. and Vincent Sims; great grandchildren, Kevin R. Sargent, Kyle Sargent, Gerald T. Sims and Taylor McLeod and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rev. C.B. Sims; daughter, Bonnie Sims Rosser; sisters, Priscilla Clark Duncan and Naomi Clark Johnson; brothers; James Clark, Clell Clark, Porter Clark and Noble Clark.

Her favorite scriptures were Romans 8:28 and I Thessalonians 5:18.

Visitation is Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
