Faye Broadway of Monroe, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at Atrium Health Main in Charlotte.
Faye was born June 25, 1943 in Union County to the late Ovey Roy Kindley and the late Ella Melissa Kindley. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kizer; brother, Grady Kindley; amd son-in-law, Randy Cunningham.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home, 13575 Broadway Ave., Midland, NC 28107. The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Herrins Grove PBC, 29482 Herrin Grove Church Rd., Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Atlas Broadway of the home; children, Anita Lathan (Ric), Chuck Broadway (Kim), Debra Cunningham, Elizabeth Mullis, Chris Broadway (Kristie), Mitchell Broadway (Candace); 12 grandchildren, Chad sisters, Virginia Braswell and Dean Kindley; brother, Robert Kindley.
Faye was a loving mother and homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and church. In the summer, her garden was a passion like no other and canning food for her family was what she loved the most. She was a dedicated sports fan of the UNC Tarheels Basketball team and enjoyed so much watching their games.
