She was born August 14, 1932 in Galesburg to Le Roy and Bertha (McNew) Oberheizer. She married Percy L. Alexander on July 14, 1956, in Fort Madison, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2014.
Surviving is a son-in-law, Mike Jones of Maquon, Illinois, two grandsons, Brian Jones of Williston, North Dakota, and Tim (and Janae) Jones of Littleton, Colorado, two great-grandchildren, Brittaney Jones and Brandon Jones, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Jones on October 25, 2016.
Donna graduated from Galesburg High School. She worked for Maytag Corporation as an assembler for 40 years. She retired in 2005. She enjoyed Bingo, bowling, and playing cards and was a member of a Bunco Club.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel. The graveside service will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Rev. Martin Briney will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
