Elizabeth J. Barr “Betty Jane”, 85, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away December 24, 2019.
Born October 20, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late James and Frances (nee Granahan) Early. She was a graduate of West Catholic High School. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Drexel Hill, PA, and then joined St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Glen Mills, PA.
Betty Jane enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and vacationing in Sea Isle City, NJ with her family. She loved to sing and watch classic movies. She will be dearly missed.
She was the beloved wife of the late George A. Barr, Sr., loving mother of George A. Barr, Jr. (Pat), Terry M. Murphy (Joe), Joanne B. Shea (Bill), Michael P. Barr (Krispin), Maryanne B. Keane (Jamie); adoring grandmother of Meredith (Bob), Rachel, Maura (Freddy), Brendan, Liam, Mary Kate, Bridget, Ryan, and Patrick; caring great-grandmother of Keegan and Cameron; and dear sister-in-law of Mary Agnes Early.
