Visitation for Gilbert R. Coffman, 80, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park. Mr. Coffman, a 50-year Spokane resident, died Tuesday. He was born in Greencastle, Mo. He served in the Army during World War II and worked as a crane operator at Kaiser Aluminum in Mead. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Steelworkers Union Local No. 329. His wife of 46 years, Ruth Coffman, died in 1995. He is survived by one daughter, Shelley Holcomb of Spokane; and three grandsons.
