Paul Vincent Dillon, age 79, died of complications of Esophageal Cancer on December 19, 2019 in the comfort of his home in Conroe, TX.
Paul Vincent Dillon was born on April 3, 1940 in Somerville, MA. His parents raised him and his 5 brothers and sisters. After graduating high school he enlisted and had a 20 year career in the US Navy. Amongst his Duty Stations he did two tours in Vietnam. He also spent time in The Philippines, Germany and on numerous ships. He retired as a Chief Boatswain Mate in 1977 at NAS Pensacola, FL. After retirement he made a second career as a Merchant Marine.

While stationed in Germany he met his wife Felicitas (Felix) and her daughter Marion (Molly) and brought them to Pensacola, FL. They were married twice for a total of 33 years and they resided in St. Rose, LA, and after Hurricane Katrina relocated to Conroe, TX.

Paul and Felix liked to travel and visit casinos throughout the US. He was a member of the VFW Post 4816 in Porter, TX and The Fleet Reserve Association Post 22 in Pensacola, FL. During his travels he enjoyed different culinary adventures. While at home, he had a love for baking, a soft spot for cats and the occasional trip to the local community theater. Paul was a loving, kindhearted father to Molly and grandfather to Ashley and Jake. He had many friends, some of which he had known for decades.

The family wishes to thank VITAS Hospice for the loving care that Paul received.

Paul is survived by his wife, Felicitas Dillon of Conroe, Texas, his daughter, Marion Bruns of Hamburg, Germany, and grandchildren, Ashley and Jake Matthew of Tomball, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be sent to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, 8535 TX-242 Conroe, TX 77385 in memory of Paul Dillon.
