COLEBROOK – Steven D. Quinn, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019. He was the loving husband to Tracy (Tullock) Quinn for 30 happy years of marriage and devoted dad to Connor Quinn for 19 years.
Born June 24, 1968, in Pennsylvania, the son of John and Mary Alice (Ackers) Quinn.
Steven grew up in New Hartford where he attended school, graduating from N.W. Regional #7 in 1986, with much success and skill mastering the art of woodworking. He was extremely loved having many friends and was admired for his clever wit and light hearted fun sense of humor. He continued his successful 31-year career beginning at Paul Herbert Woodworking and most recently enjoying working at Farmington Displays, Inc., where he felt like part of the family.

Steven was an avid bicyclist who approached all he did with great passion for life; participating in many events traveling for new adventures brought him great joy. Among his many interests were family outings, motorcycling, snowshoeing and volunteering at his son’s scouting events. He was also an IPA enthusiast who liked visiting local craft breweries with friends. Steven was always the first to help anyone in need, working tirelessly to help whenever and however possible. His generosity lives on through organ donation. Steven will be remembered and deeply missed by those who knew him as a very kind, caring, compassionate, generous and loving soul.

In addition to his beloved wife and son, as well as his parents, he leaves his two sisters, Beth Ann Canny and husband, Bob and Jacquelyn Wassik and husband, Tom; two brothers, Scott Quinn and wife, Jennifer and Eric Quinn and wife, Clarissa; sister-in-law, Jill Kniffin and husband, Lester; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main St., Winsted.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 837 Charles St., Torrington.
