Leroy John Jarchow was born March 1, 1964 in Sumner, IA, the son of Alden and Norma (Pierce) Jarchow. He was one of their seven children.

He attended school in Fredericksburg.

After his school he started bar tending at various bars in the area. He also worked at Aveka in Fredericksburg.

Leroy enjoyed the outdoors. He loved having grill outs and big bonfires. He also always enjoyed the fireworks on the fourth of July. A person would walk into Leroy's house and there was always music playing. He had it going all day. Leroy was what you call a simple man.

Leroy is survived by three sons, Andrew (Leanna) Blue of Tennessee, Leon Jarchow of Oelwein, IA, Brady Jarchow of Oelwein, IA; two daughters, Amber Blue of Tripoli, IA, Audrey Blue of Grinnell, IA; one brother, Brian (Darla) Jarchow of New Hampton, IA; four sisters, Jackie Sheffner of Fredericksburg, IA, Janice (Steven) Johnson of Fredericksburg, IA, Joyce Peyton of Fredericksburg, IA, Lorna (Eugene) Zeien of Morango, IA; 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Bruce Jarchow.
