Arthur James Lucas Jr, 68, passed away in the comfort of his Oak Forest home on Friday, December 6, 2019. He is survived by his 5 daughters; Andrea (Victor), Kathleen (Bill), Jeannine, Margaret, & Madeline (David), and his 7 grandchildren; Joseph, Tyler, Miranda, Alfredo, Carmen, Gabriel & Corbin.

Arthur Lucas was born January 21, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois to Therese & Arthur J. Lucas Sr. A 45 year member of the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers, and Allied Workers local 11, and a devoted member of the Chicago Local School Council for 11 years, Arthur was passionate in helping the community. Art was an avid coin collector and a fan of Star Trek and Crosby Stills Nash & Young. He enjoyed golf and loved taking his family to the zoo or the museums on the weekends. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he loved having sock bomb fights in the front-room with his kids. He was an extremely ambitious, hard working man who dedicated much of his time to 'holding down the fort'. He was also the best dad and grandpa one could have.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, December 21, 2019 for a memorial visitation from 11:00 am until the time of service at 2:30 pm at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home. 10701 S. Harlem Avenue, Worth IL.
