Jo Cook Bailey 84 of Holly Springs passed away Saturday December 21, 2019 at Assured Hospice in Cartersville, GA.

Jo was quite the bold and direct lady, however a generous and charitable giver to causes great and small. She was totally committed to her spouse and her children. Her determination as a mother to raise a respectable and loving family never wavered or was compromised. Early on in her marriage she displayed the truest form of loyalty and caregiving as her husband's health soon declined within a few short years into their union. Jo relished in being the mother to her four children, often saying it's the role God called her to fill, and fill it she did to the utmost. She was best known for being a fabulous cook. Her kitchen was her canvas, the various ingredients of her dishes were the paint and brushes, and the sacred round table was her showcase. For the numerous loved ones that gathered round her table, there was no reason to leave hungry. Jo would feed you, and seconds or third portions were readily available. Her greatest accomplishment was the fierce love and commitment within her family and them all coming to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday December 27, 2019 in the chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Jo's eldest son David facilitating the service. Entombment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
