Jane Temple Meeks, 86, widow of James “Jake” K. Meeks, Jr. died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Walker Temple, Sr. and Sarah Mundy Temple. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Belton.
Surviving are: son, James “Jim” W. Meeks (Teresa) of Anderson; daughters, Deborah McAlister (Steve) of Honea Path, and Susan Holliday (Ken) of Anderson; sister, Ann Kesler-Robinson of Anderson; sister in laws, Evelyn Temple and Doris Temple Davis both of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Kelli Fowler, Jason Holliday, Amanda McAlister, Candi Scott, and Hali Holliday; 9 great grandchildren; special daughter, Sheila Kinser; numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, William Walker Temple, Jr., and John Temple and 1 great grandchild.
Service will be held 2pm Friday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Beaver officiating. Private burial at later date at M. J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
