"MRS. F. D. CUMMINGS DEAD: She Was a Well Known Lady of Harris County. // News reached the city yesterday of the death of Mrs. Fletcher Davis CUMMINGS, wife of Mr. T. J. CUMMINGS, which occurred at their home in Harris county, near Grimes, Ga., about twelve miles north of the city, at 5 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, after an ilness of five weeks. The deceased was a member of the Missionary Baptist church, and was well known in this city, having many friends here who will be pained to learned of her sad death. Besides her heart-broken husband the deceased is survived by eleven children, six sons and five daughters, two of which are twins [sic] sons five weeks old, and one brother, Mr. William McCRORY [sic], of this city. // The funeral took place at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, the interment being at the Shippey burying ground, seven miles north of the city."
