Born on June 30, 1949 in Princeton, he was a son of the late Eddie and Clara P. Quillian Underwood. He had been a resident of Brushfork for 14 years and was a retired parts manager. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was the lead singer and guitarist at for the local band, Heart and Soul. He was a devoted and caring husband, father and grandfather and was dedicated to his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Webb Underwood of the home; son Anthony (Victoria) Underwood of Parkersburg, and their son Alexander; son, Jason (Nikki) Underwood of Princeton and their children, Owen and Isabelle; a sister, Sandra Lambert of Brushfork, WV; and a brother, Joe Underwood, Baltimore, MD.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 1:30 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with family members officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Anthony Underwood, Jason Underwood, Alexander Underwood, Owen Underwood, Caleb Webb and Nathan Webb will serve as pallbearers.
