Obituary for Robert Keith Appleby
Robert Keith Appleby (“Bob”) — born February 26, 1951, in Ardmore, OK, died of a heart attack while riding his bike on May 15, 2018, in Addison, TX. Bob was a steadfast and devout husband, father, grandfather, friend and Oklahoma Sooner fan.He was a man of strong beliefs and strong opinions, yet both were extraordinarily out shown by his deep faith and love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, his unwavering loyalty and his refreshingly unfiltered humor. He received so much more from this life than he ever anticipated, as he gave more of himself than one could ever expect. Perfectly imperfect, his moral compass was always true, his honesty forthright and his wisdom forged from a rich life of successes and failures alike. He is preceded in death by his father, Bill, and his mother, Inis, and survived by Mary Ann, his wife, partner and entire world of 40 years; his three children, Ben (Cara), Justin (Jenny) and Beth (Quentin Boyd); his seven grandchildren; his second mother, Mary Ann Sr.; his sister, Kathleen (Lynn Doughty), and all of those whose lives he so greatly enriched. The family will receive guests at a visitation ceremony on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held on June 2, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Grace Bible Church in Dallas, TX.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Grace Bible Church (Dallas, TX) – Helps Fund.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
