She was born July 6, 1951 in Burlington to Robert LeRoy and Helen Catherine Thompson Snowden. On February 1, 1986, she married Don Vernon Ayers Jr.; he died January 31, 2002.
She is survived by four children; two grandsons; and her step-mother.
