Frances Brewer, age 93, of Clifton, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Tuesday, December 24, 2019, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian. Rev. Cody Chaffin will officiate. Burial in the Morgan Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Monday, December 23, 2019, at Lawson's Funeral Home.
Frances was born May 13, 1926, in Borger, Texas. She was a daughter of the late Finis Virgil Murphy and Callie Bell Jones Murphy. She was raised and educated in Big Spring and Odessa schools. On May 9, 1952, she married Ferrell Lee "Buddy" Brewer in Lovington, New Mexico. Buddy preceded her in death on December 11, 1983. She and her husband lived in California for several years until moving to Morgan, Texas in 1968. Frances worked at several jobs including a clerk at a grocery store and a local hardware. She was a member of the Light House Baptist Church in Meridian.
Survivors include her children, Janice Gail Mullen and husband Dean, of Cleburne; Virgil E. Curtis of Valley Mills and Carolyn Holt and husband, Larry, of Morgan. 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a number of and great-great-great-grandchildren.
