Died Early Today

Injuries received in an automobile accident Sunday morning, proved fatal to Mrs. Anna Tutter Hembreiker, wife of William J. Hembreiker of Springfield. Her heath occurred at 1:30 o'clock this morning at St. John's hospital in that city. Mr. and Mrs. Hembreiker are both former residents of Lincoln. She was born in Austria and moved to Lincoln with her parents when a young girl. She married Mr. Hembreiker in this city twenty-eight years ago next September.

She is survived by her husband, one son, William C., and two daughters, Mary Lucille and Agnes Ann. Her mother, Mrs. Susan Tutter, resides at 415 Williamette avenue in this city. She suffered a stroke of paralysis several months ago and is now in a very serious condition. Mrs. Tutter is not aware of her daughter's death. Mrs. Hembreiker is also survived by three sisters: Catherine Tutter and Vernese Furr, both of Lincoln; and Margaret Havens, Shelbyville, Ind.: four brothers, Stephen, Michael, and John, all of Lincoln; and Joseph of East St. Louis. A sister, Mrs. Mary Dovin, died in this city several years ago.

Mrs. Hembreiker was injured severely in the automobile crash at South Grand avenue and the new Outer Lake drive. She was riding with her husband in their car when it collided with a machine driven by Mrs. Gilbert Nolan, Taylorville. At first it was believed that Mr. Hembreiker was the more seriously hurt of the two, but complications developed in Mrs. Hembreiker's condition and then became gradually worse. Physicians held out little hope for her life since a few hours after the accident. Mr. Hembreiker is still a patient at the hospital, suffering from severe injuries sustained in the crash.

Mrs. Hembreiker was a member of the Blessed Sacrament church and it is there the funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will be also in Springfield.
