Survivors include her daughters, Dolores Cooper Daley and husband Mickey, Faith Cooper Charnock and husband John, all of Tangier; grandchildren, Joseph Allen Daley, Melinda Leigh Cooper, and Wesley Troy Charnock; great-granddaughter, Madaliye Cooper; daughter-in-law, Janet Cooper; brothers-in-law, Lonnie Dail and Larry Horner; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant son, Jackie Weldon Cooper, Jr.; son, Jackie Norris Cooper; sisters, Ann Angle Dail, Kathleen Angle Horner, and Elva Angle Mason and husband Babel; and grandson, Caleb Lee Cooper.
Edna was a lifetime member of New Testament Church and graduated from Tangier Combined School as valedictorian of her class. Throughout her life, she remained devoted to her faith in the Lord and her role as a wife and mother. Nothing brought Edna more joy than providing a happy and loving home for her family, a home where cherished memories were made and all were welcome.
Funeral services will be held at the New Testament Church on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with Mr. Kim Parks and Elder Duane Crockett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. There will be a visitation at the church on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
