Mr. Woods was born Jan. 13, 1955 in Natchez, the son of Moses Woods and Rosetta Jones Woods.

He was a graduate of Kansas State University and served in the U.S. Army as a flightline mechanic. Harvey enjoyed shooting pool, fishing, and loved music.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Blanton Woods; son, Harvey Woods, Jr.; daughters: Denise Seifert and husband Joern and Apollonia Woods; brothers, Moses Woods (Jackie), Steve Woods and wife Evelyn, Carmen Woods and Raymond Woods; sisters, Rosie Varnado and husband Rynold and Gloria Miller; grandchildren, Mira and Lias Seifert; special nephews, Steven Martel Woods, Timothy Woods, Xavier Woods; uncle, Albert Jones and wife Juanita, sisters-in-law, Debra and Lisa Woods and a host of other relatives and friends.
