Came to the USA from Wales and lived in Salt Lake City first. Went to St. George, Utah to find work as a brick layer. He met and married his wife Stephney Isabella Wells in 1896. In 1898 he moved to Lund, NV with his wife and 1st born son William Ellis Davies. His daughter Bertha was born in Lund in 1899. He apparently did not like working as a farmer in Lund, and in Sept 1900 moved back to Salt Lake City and resumed his trade as a bricklayer. May 1906 • San Francisco, California, went to work in San Francisco after the earthquake on April 18, 1906. Had his family sell the home, and move to Moapa, NV with relatives of his wife. (Her brother Sam's family) . He moved his family to San Francisco in June of 1907. Following the births of his children, he was living in Ely, NV by 1918, and was living in Sacramento in 1927 where he remained until his death.
