Vinson Oro Call

Vinson Oro Call, 69, 144 W. 2nd N., was honored Wednesday at funeral services in the Bountiful Sixth ward. Bishop Albert Eccles Jr. conducted the 12 noon services.

MR. CALL died Mar. 31, in a local hospital after a lingering illness.

Prelude music was played by Mrs. Evelyn L. Taylor, and the invocation was offered by Alma Park. Bishop Eccles then made his opening remarks.

THE SIXTH ward sextette followed with "In the Garden." In the group were Rose Ann Belnap, Evelyn Taylor, Joyce Benard, Margaret Wood, Melva Park and Albertje Van Dijk.

First speaker was Arley George.

THEN JO BETH Bradley sang "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied by Mrs. Taylor.

Bishop Harold L. Pope was the concluding speaker.

THE CLOSING number, "Christian's Goodnight," was sung by the Sixth ward male quartet composed of Donald Egginton, Dr. Robert Vance, Wayne Stoke, and Bishop Albert Eccles Jr.

Harold Bunting offered the benediction.

BURIAL WAS in the Bountiful Memorial Park where Vasco Call dedicated the grave. The Bountiful Sixth ward Relief Society was in charge of flowers. Friends called prior to the services at the Union Mortuary.

Active pallbearers were all nephews, Chester Call, Frank Call, Israel Wilson, Steven Call, Lester Call and Elton Call.

Honorary pallbearers were close friends Leslie Devereaux, Bruce Love, Aaron George, Ernest Webster, Stanley Humphrey, Clifford Thurgood, Otis Call, David Mann, Albert Mann and Wallter Holbrook.

VINSON Oro Call was born Jan. 22, 1893, in Bountiful to Israel and Medora White Call. He was an army veteran having served from 1911 to 1914. On July 6, 1915, he married Amy Louisa Whipple in Provo.

He was a construction worker until 1944. He had also been employed at Clearfield Naval Supply Depot until 1958. He was a member of the Bountiful Sixth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his widow, Bountiful; sons, Vinson B. Call, Clearfield; and William O. Call, Salt Lake City; three grandsons; sisters, brothers, Mrs. Adelaide Bergeson, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Hettie Knight, Bountiful; Mrs. Lydia Hancock and Vasco Call, both of Mesa, Ariz., Schuyler Call, Murray; Ambrose Call, Orem; Willard Call, Ogden; and Newell Call, San Jose Calif.
