Funeral services for Jack H. White Sr., 66, of Markham will be held 2 p. m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Markham with the Rev. Howard Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing.
Mr. White was born Aug. 10, 1924, to Ira Hampton and Vida Mae Saul White in Dallas and died Feb. 24, 1991, at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City.
He was a production and proration supervisor for Sun Oil for 45 years, a member of the volunteer fire department in Markham, the deacon and treasurer of First Baptist Church in Markham and an avid ham radio operator using call numbers WB5UXL.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy White of Markham; a daughter, Rhonda Fox of Sweeny; two sons, Jack H. White Jr. of Freeport and Gary White of Houston; and 10 grandchildren, Kip, Troy, Erica, Erin, Byron, Ronald, Russell, Stacy, Tracy and Stephen.
Pallbearers are C. W. Rush, Grady Quinney, David Bradley, Mike Johnson, Garin Roecker and Pete Medina.
Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.
