Anna Mitchell Dodson, 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at her home in Midlothian, Texas.

Visitation: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main Street, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050. Burial: 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at DFW National Cemetery.

Anna was born on October 26, 1928 to Pete and Grace Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clyde Mitchell of forty-five years and James Dodson of eighteen years; son-in-law, Larry Chapman; grandsons, Bryan Freeman and Bradley Chapman and a sister, Nell Till.

Survivors include daughters, Margaret Chapman and Jo Anna (Ken) Freeman; grandchildren, Gary Don Chapman, Angela (John) Dieckman, Kenny (Joanne) Freeman Jr; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Ginger (Steve) Kirk; 7 nieces and nephews.

She and Clyde owned Mitchell Mattress Company over sixty years in Grand Prairie and Dallas, and was an active member of First Baptist Church since 1947. She was involved in many clubs and charities, including PTA as a Life Member, a Girl Scout Leader and she held office in many organizations.
