Joseph Allen Satterfield, 90, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Joe was born in Princeton, Kentucky on July 22, 1929 to the late Marvin and Lena Violet (McNeely) Satterfield.

He retired from Signal Delivery Service and was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. Joe loved hunting, fishing, and being with friends and family. He was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed watching and betting on horse racing and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Linda Burnett (Bret) of Newburgh, IN; son, Robert Satterfield of Philpot, KY; sister, Jean Alviar of Vancouver, WA; grandchildren, Amy Hardin (Chad), Amber Phillips (Jordan), Adam Satterfield, Derek Burnett (Amber), Kristin Burnett (Michael Flemming); and great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Sarah, and Levi Hardin, Emersyn and Caydence Phillips, Jordan Flemming, and Kobe Burnett.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary L. (Hammers) Satterfield; his parents; sister, Elizabeth Blanco; brother, John Satterfield; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Satterfield.

Private entombment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements by Browning Funeral Home. Published in Courier Press, December 21, 2019.
