On December 19, 2019, surrounded by family, Reba Dell Richardson went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2019, at First United Methodist Church in Dumas, TX with Anthony Inman and Steve Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas, 500 N. Maddox Ave.

Reba was born June 5, 1952, to Billy Charles “Red” and Mary Vivian “Johnnie” Hudson from Dumas, TX. She graduated from Dumas High School where she met the love of her life, Bobby Joe Richardson. They were wed August 8, 1970 and were blessed with three children, April Rene in 1972, Jeffrey Joseph in 1975, and Kayla Michelle in 1986.

Reba was a homemaker and worked at First United Methodist Church for many years as the Director of Mother’s Day Out Program and retired from Mr. Payroll.

She enjoyed church, family, crafting, taking care of children, but especially her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Vivian Hudson; son, Jeffrey Joseph Richardson; and brother, Johnny Mack “Bud” Hudson.

She is survived by her husband of 49 ½ years, Bobby Joe; daughters, April Melton, and Kayla and husband Jimmy Saenz; father, Billy Charles “Red” Hudson and stepmother, Betty Hudson; brother, Rex Alvin Hudson; and five grandchildren, Brooklyn, Boston, Alexis, Braylon, and Kaitlyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made to Jeff and Reba Richardson Scholarship Fund at the First United Methodist Church in Dumas.
