Joanna Elizabeth Burns, 44, of Cordova, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2006, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. James Woodrow Argent will officiate. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her son, Chris Minor; father, Joseph Hallmon; and mother, MaryBooth.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ray Burns of Cordova; sons, Daryl Paul Burns and Dewayne Minor, both of Cordova; sisters, Susan Inman of Lakeland, Fla., and Cecelia Clancy of Carbon Hill; and brothers, Carl Hallmon of Lakeland, Fla., Jimmy Hallmon of Labelle, Fla., Micheal Hallmon of Sevierville, Tenn., and Henry Hallmon of Atmore
