He came to know the Lord at an early age at Olive Branch Baptist Church. Later he became a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jimmy Miller. Clyde moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he joined Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael Jackson, where he remained until his death.
Clyde was a compassionate father who always had an encouraging word and was full of laughter. He loved his family dearly, and they always gave him great joy. Clyde was the perfect example of determination and strength. Clyde worked for Union County Waste for 10 years. In Tulsa, he worked for the Bus Plant.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal and paternal grandparents and his brothers, James Henderson and Billy Jackson.
Clyde leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Shelia Jackson of El Dorado, Arkansas. One son, Demondre (Quinkneisha) Jackson of Baytown Houston, Texas. One sister, Ella (Luther) Gill of El Dorado, Arkansas. Two grandchildren, Ashtyn Jackson and Kenneth Briggs both of El Dorado, Arkansas. One special friend, Portia Moore of Tulsa, Oklahoma along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Public Visitation will be on Friday, December 20, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 pm at Sims Mortuary. Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Interment will be at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.
