He was veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked in Maintenance for Sonoco Products. A very intelligent individual, he was extremely witty. His children, grandchildren and music were his life. He was an avid golfer, loved animals and the ocean was his happy place.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Clarence Coffman, Sr. and Helen Coffman and two brothers, Jim Coffman and William Coffman.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Coffman; three daughters, Jamie (Rayvaughn) Jenkins, Kim Coffman (Steve) and Coral Sliger; one son, Joshua Coffman; eight grandchildren, Gabrielle, Blake, Paxton, Presley, Peyton, Anastasia, Addison and Zoey; six great-grandchildren, Aiden, Aubree, Ava, Riley, Kenzie and Kason; brother, Billy (Connie) Coffman; two sisters, Kathy (James) Burrows and Susan Lindsey; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
