Linda A. Gilbert (Steyrer), age 74 went to eternal heaven on Dec 5, 2019 in Mesa, Arizona. Born in Weehawken, NJ to Frank Steyrer and Louise Steyrer (Rankel). Linda resided in North Bergen most of adulthood life. She is survived by sister Anita Bakun (Steyrer), cousin Charles Ulrich, niece Nicole Morales (Bakun), nephew Bruce Nordquist, as well as 4 beautiful and adoring grand-nieces Madison Morales, Lauren Morales, Katelyn Morales , Kassandra Nordquist.

Linda was a High School English teacher for 36 years at Dumont High School where she was committed to carving out younger generations literacy. She was a positive influence on so many of her students and faculty/friends whom looked up to her cheerful disposition and intelligence. She was also a very caring and dedicated mentor to so many young people. Linda enjoyed books, travel, motorcycle riding, helping animals, and of course her many friendships! Linda was very much looking forward to spending her golden years in Gilbert, Arizona and riding into the sunset and mountains. We will miss our dear Linda immensely. Rest in peace kindred soul.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Dec 28, 2019 from 4pm-7pm.
