She was born April 25, 1932 in Bloomington, a daughter of Martin J. and Julia L. Killian Kelley. She married Michael S. Sullivan on February 16, 1952 in Merna. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2005.
Surviving are three children, Mike (Ann) Sullivan and Beth Sullivan, both of Bloomington and Kelley (Brad Cook) Sullivan of Windsor, CO. The family is grateful to Rosie’s friend and caregiver, Ninoska Montoya.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Sullivan and David Sullivan.
Rosie was a 1950 graduate of Trinity High School. She was a member of Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society as well as the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. While primarily a homemaker, Rosie enjoyed the time she spent working at both Jack & Jill and Roland’s in downtown Bloomington. She was an avid card player and was a member of many bridge clubs and, along with her husband, was a 50-plus-year member of a couples 500 card group. As an only child, Rosie relished marrying into the Sullivan clan and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.
