Virginia (Jennie) N. Shatley, 74, of Piedmont, Missouri passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, at her residence. Jennie was born April 13, 1945, in St Louis, Mo., to the late Wesley Junior Howard and Gladys (Eads) Howard.

She was saved at a young age and was of the Baptist faith. Jennie was devoted to her children and believed in the importance of family. She loved to fish, watch the kids play ball and served as a Boy Scout Den Mother.

Jennie had owned and operated her own businesses in St Louis, and in Piedmont. She worked for Sears and Roebuck and as a Dispatcher for the Reynolds County Sheriff’s Department. Jennie was a charter member of the Piedmont Eagles.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Jennie is survived by her sons; Kevin Shatley and wife Brandi of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Don Shatley and wife Donna of Williamsville, Missouri, grandchildren; Clay Shatley, Lane Shatley, Sarah Pruett, Casey Kennedy, Jessica Webb, great grandchildren; Lacie Pruett, Mason Pruett, Shelby Kennedy, Steven Kennedy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister; Wanda (Jean) Dodson, brother; Victor Lee Howard and her longtime companion Jim Scheifer.

Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont. Funeral service followed, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Alan Connor ministered to the family.

Clay Shatley, Lane Shatley, Tim Dodson, Rick Smith, Jamie Bell, and Tony Markham served as pallbearers. Burial was at Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont.
