Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 at the First Baptist Church in Centralia, with burial to follow in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia.
Edna Mae was born on July 9, 1946 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Robert Oliver and Bessie Abrams (Stewart) Clarkson.
Edna Mae married Duane Farmer on June 20, 1971 in Brookfield at the Park Baptist Church, and he survives.
Edna Mae loved cooking and collecting cookbooks.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia, where she served as church clerk for more than 30 years, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
Edna Mae was a math teacher and school counselor for many years, working for the Hallsville Schools until retirement.
She was a sponsor for the Quiz Bowl Team for several years.
Along with her husband Duane, Edna Mae is survived by sisters-in-law, Jeanice McDonald of St. Joseph and Patricia Sanders (Tom) of Independence; nephews, Robert Clarkson (Sharon) of Knightstown, Ind., Dave Clarkson (Sandy) of Laclede, Randy Clarkson of Jefferson City and Rock Clarkson (Erin) of Jefferson City; a niece, Diane Lambert (Steve) of Brookfield; numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Edna Mae was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Isaac Clarkson, and his wife Doris.
