Phoebe Wallace (205553486) and Ruth Elizabeth Wallace (205553487) were daughters of Dr James Robert Wallace FRCS (Born 1856) of Fort William, Calcutta and his wife Edith Jane nee Barker (Born 04 November 1864, Calcutta) who married 17 Nov 1883, Calcutta.
The daughters died on 24 Sep 1899 in a huge landslide (known as "The Darjeeling Disaster") which engulfed their boarding school. Also died with them were 6 Lee family children and their faithful ayah.
