Roy Winford Powell, Sr., of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He was the owner of Roy Powell Trucking. Roy was the former Lawrence County Sherriff and former Street Commissioner. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceburg and Mimosa Masonic Lodge #542 where he was a Master Mason.
Preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Irene Beckham Powell; sisters, Rebecca Dunkin Gray and Audrey Luffman.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Friday, December 20, 2019 with a masonic service to follow. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
