Of St. Anthony, passed away Dec. 14, 2019, just 3 weeks shy of her 100th birthday. Bethel graduated from Greenwood, WI High School, then went on to Stevens Pt. for her teaching certificate. Bethel started her teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse in Greenwood. Bethel and Arnold moved to Minneapolis where Arnold was a Professor of Agriculture at the University of Minnesota. She went on to get her bachelor's degree at the U of M. She started working for the Minneapolis Public School system, retiring when she was 68.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; sons, Craig and Gary.
