Mr. Paul Anthony Rodriguez, 61 of Pascagoula, passed away early Tuesday morning at his home.

Paul was born August 14, 1957 in Chicago, IL, the youngest of three children to Paul Gabriel & Margaret Ann (Roddy) Rodriguez. He would grow up in several cities around the U.S., mainly New Orleans where he was an altar boy at St. Louis Cathedral.

Paul came to enjoy the outdoors and music, playing football, and was a member of the Drum & Bugle Corps for several years as well. He graduated from Garfield High School in Seattle, WA, a member of the Class of '75.

After graduation, he joined the US Army and was stationed in Europe in the post-Vietnam era during the cold war. Following his military service, Paul worked in a couple different jobs while he attended Tulane University, most of which involved driving. He chose a career hauling stage equipment for concerts, driving for many musicians and bands, including George Straight, Trace Adkins, the Grateful Dead, Diana Ross, and many others. He is remembered as a very opinionated but sweet and funny guy that to truly know, was to love him.

Often referred to as a "big teddy bear", Paul Anthony was a loving, caring husband and father that simply adored his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all whose life he touched.

Paul was preceded by his parents, and his only brother, Phillip Rodriguez. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife, Mary Louise (Julien) Rodriguez; daughters Sara Rodriguez of N.O. and Keelee Julien of O.S., and sons Paul Adam (Emily) Rodriguez of WA, Joseph and Jacob Rodriguez, both of N.O., Travis (Monica) McQuillan of Saucier, and Shaun Keefe of NC; ten grandchildren - Kinsy & Noahalani Rodriguez, Samaia & Haija Boyd, Payton, Jayla, & James McQuillan, Krislynn & Chandler Keefe, and Carter Anthony Julien; one sister, Ana Keck, and his loving Chihuahua, Lily, along with several extended family, friends, and acquaintances scatterd across the country.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Wednesday, June 5th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. Following a chapel service at 11, Paul will be laid to rest at Biloxi National Cemetery. Trinity is honored to serve the Rodriguez family in their time of need, and asks that you keep them in your prayers during this difficult time.
