LeRoy was born June 25, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa, a son of Charles Glenn and Mabel Mae (Phillips) Wood.
He was a 1976 high school graduate.
On June 12, 2010 in St. Clair, Missouri, he married Jacqueline Dene Weekley.
LeRoy worked through the Union Hall and a member of Local 83. He had been a boilermaker, building power houses. LeRoy traveled all over the United States through his employment.
He enjoyed coon hunting and motorcycle riding. LeRoy loved horses.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Dene Wood and their grandchildren, Maximus Pittker and Legacie Pittker, of the home in Wellsville; daughter and son-in-law, Leeann and Chris Rich and grandchildren, Hiedi Wood, Jimmy Wood and Andrew Wood of Red Lodge, Montana; step-daughter, Angela Hoskins, of Pahrump, Nevada; father and step-mother, Charles Glenn “Barney” and Marsha Wood, of Brookfield; mother, Mabel Mae Wood, of Benson, Arizona; mother-in-law, Deanna Regot, of Middletown; father-in-law, Richard Weekley, of Wright City; step-children, Robert (Alexis) Alberternst and their two sons, of Wentzville, Phillip (Veronica) Alberternst and their two sons, of Warrenton and Stephanie Alberternst, of Columbia and her two children; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Christie Wood, of Chester, Illinois and sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Paul Carlsson, of Spokane, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
LeRoy was cremated and services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Myers Funeral Home in Wellsville.
