Leslie D. Powell, age 57, of Bloomburg, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 21, 2018, in Tomball, Texas.

Leslie was born November 2, 1960, in Austin, Texas, to Jerry and Jackie Ayres. She was known to be kindhearted, loved to read, loved God, loved spending time with her grandkids, and was so loved in return. Leslie was brave and strong in her fight with cancer always thinking of others and not herself. She was preceded in death by a son, Glen Laufenburger; brothers, Roger Giles and Jerry Ayres, Jr.

She is survived by her husband James Powell; parents, Jerry Ayres and wife Patsy, Jackie Monzingo and husband Tom; children Larissa Hernandez and husband Lupe, Rebecca Laufenburger; brothers; Raymond Giles and wife Meeghan, Ryan Giles; sisters, Sherri Ayres Patten, Lori Jean Ayres, Kimberly Ayres, Amy Ayres, Allison Oliver and husband Gerrod; Reagan Kindred and husband Casey; seven grandchildren; and number of nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Services will be 10:00 am, Thursday, July 26, 2018, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 pm- 8 pm, Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
