At the age of 15 he started work as an auto mechanic. Willie worked for the next 50 years as a trusted mechanic who had a following of customers no matter where he worked. He was married to Ruth Ann Tillman on February 10. 1964 in Muskogee. She preceded him in death in 2004.
Willie enjoyed camping and fishing. He also enjoyed working in his yard. A yard that any golf course would be envious of.
Surviving are his children, Danny and wife Jamie and Brenda and husband Billy; his girlfriend Glenda Hoover and her children Twila and James, Jerry and Alicia, Jimmy and Sabrina and Herman and Tara; grandchildren Kelsey and husband Dalton, Danny and wife Cindy, Dustin and wife Miranda, Kaylee, Dalton, Michelle, Sarah, Loren, Trajia, Chris and wife Shantel, Jordan, J.T., Gabel, Patrick, Levi, Zoey and Robert; great grandchildren Kymber, Cecilee, Brealynn, Havyn, Emmett, Damon, Aiden, Ramalynn, Logan, Scarlett, Grace, Kaden, Chance, Kaden Lee, Treasure, Justice, Levi Jr., Hunter, Brynlee, Jaxx, Alice, Jackson, Lucas and David; one great great grandchild Wesley; one sister Jean Strater; a special niece / granddaughter Gracelyn Swinford and a special friend / brother Larry Looney and wife Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister Pamela Reed Maples.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm Friday December 20, 2019 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home with Lt. Charles and Mary Smith of the Salvation Army officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
