Age 91, passed away at the Manor Assisted Living in Jackson on Sunday December 15th, 2019. Richard was born on
October 1st, 1928 in Jackson, Michigan to parents Walter and Clara Cameron. Richard married Betty Simons on November 21, 1956. He is survived by his four children, Richard Stasiak, Milo (Wendy) Stasiak, James Cameron and Janet Cameron-Sluis, his sister-in-law Kay Simons, his 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Clara Cameron, his wife Betty, sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Don McLaughlin, brother-in-law Gordon Simons, son-in-law Arnold Sluis, great-granddaughter Jazmin Wilson, and niece Linda Vandewater.
Richard was in the Navy during WWII. Richard retired from Clark Equipment. Richard and Betty then moved to Florida. They lived in Florida for 21 years before returning to Jackson. Richard enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, going fishing and doing cross-word and jigsaw puzzles. Richard and Betty loved traveling all over the country in their motorhome.
A memorial service celebrating Richard's life will be held on Saturday, December 28th at the Desnoyer Funeral Home with Reverend Dave Kamke officiating.
The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
