Ruth L. Hayes-Anderson, 75, of Jefferson City, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2019 at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born on April 22, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois; a daughter of the late Victor and Dorothy (Wagner) Esterberg.
Ruth was a 1963 graduate of Kelvyn Park High School in Chicago. She was a loving wife and mother, who enjoyed gardening, sewing, cross stitch and spending time with her many grandchildren. She was the treasurer of the Cole County Senior Nutrition Board and dedicated many hours to helping the elderly in the area.
She is survived by her children: Keith Hayes (Mary Christian) and Victoria Hayes-Arredondo (Matthew); stepchildren: Craig Anderson (Patty), Nena Koelling (Charlie) and Curtis Anderson (Mary); grandchildren: Landon and Savannah Hayes, Isaac Arredondo, Sarah and Laura Anderson, Natalie, Chad and Corey Koelling, Madison, Tori, Christopher and Jacob Anderson. Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands: Donald Keith Hayes (1992) and Robert Anderson (2016).
Family and Friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019 in Olive Point Baptist Cemetery in Preston, Missouri.
