Rebecca Jane Atkinson, 61, of Belpre passed peacefully with family by her side on December 14, 2019 at the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 2, 1958 in Parkersburg, WV and was the daughter of the late Charles Lee and Gladys Rhodes Giddings.

She loved music, movies, garage sale shopping, and traveling to the beach.

Rebecca is survived by one son, David Atkinson, II and partner Michael Day of Parkersburg; one daughter Heather McLaughlin of St. Marys; former husband, David Atkinson, Sr. of Reno, OH; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda (Jackie) Leasure of St. Marys; Sherry Jones of Parkersburg; one brother, Charles (Tammy) Giddings of Monticello, IL; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles Lee Giddings Sr. and Irene Giddings who helped raise her.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kelil, Dr. Muddama, the entire I.C.U Team at Camden Clark Hospital, and First Choice Home Care staff for the tremendous care they all provided.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 11: 00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Jeff Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belpre. Visitation will be held Wednesday 2-4pm & 6-8 pm and Thursday 10-11 am at the funeral home.
