Ronald Lee Lyons, Sr., 49, resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, former of Charleston, Missouri, died November 27, 2019 at his home. He was born March 6, 1970 in Charleston, Missouri to the late Robert Lyons and Lue Alice Thompkins Lyons of Charleston, Missouri.

He attended Charleston High School where he was active in football and received a scholarship in football. He was a member of the 1988 graduating class.

Ronald was raised attending Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston, Missouri. He was currently a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church on High School Road in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Ronald moved to Indianapolis, Indiana after graduating and began working as a mechanic. He worked for various employers with his last employer being Goldberry Transmissions in Brownsburg, Indiana.

He and his wife, Latoya are the proud parents of a son, Ronald, Jr. and a daughter, Ronea.

Ronald loved working, spending time with his family and playing video games with his son. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is also preceded in death by his grandmother, Iola Franklin and one sister, Dorothy Macon.

He is survived by one son, Ronald Lee Lyons, Jr. of Indianapolis, Indiana, two daughters, Ronea Lyons of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jasmine Richmond of Bloomington, Illinois, his mother, Lue Alice Lyons of Charleston, Missouri, six brothers, Robert (Carolyn) Lyons, Russell (Eilleen) Lyons and Gary (Melinda) Lyons of Indianapolis, Indiana, Albert Curtis Lyons and Eddie (Johnnie Mae) Lyons of Charleston, Missouri and Robert Earl Hughes of Bloomington, Illinois, six sisters, Truly (Terry) Riggs and Janie (Mark) Watson of Bloomington, Illinois, Peggy (Howard) Biles and Dianne (Curtis McCatrey) Hughes of Charleston, Missouri and Brenda (Clyde) Towle and Betty Hughes of Marion, Illinois, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Monday, December 9, 2019 from 10:00 a. m. until the funeral hour of 11:00 a. m. at Opportunity Church of God in Christ in Charleston, Missouri with the pastor, Superintendent Steve Betts officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston, Missouri with the Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri in charge of arrangements.
