Michelle was born on March 3, 1965 in Petersburg, VA to Ernestine Harrison and the late George Patrick.
Mrs. Davis was baptized at an early age at Union Branch Baptist Church, Prince George, VA by Reverend Andrew White. She was a member of the Petersburg High School Graduating Class of 1983.
Michelle, had a successful career as a Private Duty Nurse. She had a nurturing spirit and was very passionate about working with the elderly. The type of work she performed, over the years was second nature to her.
Michelle “Shelly Red” as we so affectionately called her was funny, loving, family oriented, and loved being the “life of the party” for her family and friends. She especially enjoyed hosting a good night of karaoke.
Michelle’s jokes and her beautiful smile was definitely something to be remembered. She was beautiful inside and out. She loved to travel and cruise the world with her loved ones. If you knew Michelle, you knew that she was a devoted Dallas Cowboys and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
Mrs. Davis, is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Anthony Davis. She is also survived by her one and only devoted son, Deron Davis (Kristin); grandson, Miles Davis and granddaughter, Torryn Davis all of Petersburg, VA. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Ernestine Smith (Walter) Petersburg, VA; sisters, Christine Edmonds-McLaurin, Patricia Harrison-Evans, Richmond, VA, Toni Brown-Turner (Brad), Midlothian VA, Linda Garris, Dinwiddie, VA, Brenda Harrison, Chesterfield, VA, Iona Givens, Sherril Marshall, Petersburg, VA and Maririetta Patrick, Petersburg, VA; her brother, George Robinson (Michele) Chesterfield, VA; sisters-in-law, Diane Smith, Ann Lewis (Bruce), Debra Butler, Petersburg, VA; brothers-in-law, Michael Davis, Petersburg, VA, Maurice Davis (Karen), Chesterfield, VA and Fred Davis, Jr. (Jasmine), Colonial Heights, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Among her nieces and nephews, Anthony “P-Nut” Harrison (Clanita), Norfolk, VA, Andrea “Cookie” Smith (Shae), and Shamilia “Candy” Harrison, Richmond, VA were like her children. She also leaves to love and honor her memory, her best friend of 40 years, Patricia Moore (Tish) of Norfolk VA.
She is forever remembered by devoted “sister, confidant, friend, her “Roaddog” her sidepiece, her ride or die, the peanut butter to her jelly, the cheese to her Mac, the Lavern to her Shirley “ Kim “Elaine” Monroe (Gerald), Petersburg, VA.
Michelle Harrison-Davis, was an anchor to her family and her love and light will truly be missed.
